Who Am I?

I was born on Long Island, New York, but I was raised in southern New Mexico. After the events of September 11th, I joined the United States Army and served in Germany and Iraq during the early stages of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

After leaving the military, I attended New Mexico State University and began building a career in retail leadership in various states with Albertsons & eventually Smith’s Food and Drug. In 2018, I returned to New Mexico and eventually became the Assistant Store Leader at Smith’s Marketplace in Los Alamos, where I continue serving the community today.

Over the years, I’ve tried to stay involved and give back to the community that I’m proud to be part of. I currently serve on the Los Alamos County Transportation Board and the Library Board, and as Vice Chair of the Los Alamos Schools Credit Union.

Outside of work and community service, I enjoy cooking, spending time outdoors, and visiting with family whenever I can.

I’m running for County Council because I believe Los Alamos’ best days are still ahead of us. I believe local government should listen to residents, spend taxpayer dollars wisely, and focus on practical solutions that improve everyday life. By supporting local businesses and economic growth, encouraging responsible development, strengthening access to healthcare, and ensuring community members have a voice in the important decisions, we can build a stronger future. together.

What do I believe?

I believe county government should be transparent, fiscally responsible, and focused on improving the quality of life for the people who call Los Alamos County home.

As a business leader, community volunteer, and member of local boards, I have seen firsthand what happens when government works well—and when it doesn’t. I believe local government should listen first, spend wisely, and always remember that it exists to serve the community.

Looking Forward

The challenges facing Los Alamos County are not Republican issues or Democratic issues. They are community issues.

I am committed to listening, learning, and working with residents across our community to find practical solutions that improve quality of life, strengthen public trust, and prepare Los Alamos and White Rock for the future.

  • Taxpayer dollars should be treated with the same care that families and businesses use when managing their own budgets.

    I SUPPORT:

    • Reducing wasteful spending and unnecessary bureaucracy

    • Prioritizing projects that provide clear benefits to residents

    • Evaluating programs based on results and accountability

    • Long-term planning that protects the county’s financial future

Los Alamos County is fortunate to be in a strong financial position. We should use those resources wisely by investing in infrastructure, public safety, community services, and projects that improve daily life for residents.

“We should be investing in our community—not spending money simply because it is available.”

  • Residents deserve a government that is open, accessible, and willing to listen.

    • Too often, important decisions reach the County Council after much of the discussion has already taken place. Public input should happen early in the process—not after decisions are largely finalized.

      I SUPPORT:

      • Greater public involvement during the planning stages of major projects

      • Improved communication between county leadership and residents

      • Clear explanations of county priorities and spending decisions

      • Making government easier to understand and participate in

Good government begins with trust, and trust is built through transparency.

“Residents deserve a seat at the table from the beginning—not just an opportunity to comment at the end.”

  • A healthy community depends on a healthy local economy.

Small businesses create jobs, provide services, and help make Los Alamos and White Rock a vibrant place to live. County government should be a partner—not an obstacle—to local businesses.

    I SUPPORT:

    • Streamlining permitting and inspection processes where possible

    • Identifying and removing unnecessary barriers to business growth

    • Supporting entrepreneurship and innovation

    • Encouraging economic diversification that strengthens our local economy

When local businesses succeed, the entire community benefits.

“If we want a strong economy, we must make it easier—not harder—for people willing to invest in our community.”

  • Strong communities require access to quality healthcare.

As Los Alamos County grows, we must ensure that families have access to the medical services they need close to home. Concerns about reductions in healthcare services affect not only patients but also our ability to attract families, professionals, and businesses to the community.

    I SUPPORT:

    • Advocating for access to essential healthcare services

    • Working with healthcare leaders to understand community needs

    • Supporting efforts that attract and retain healthcare professionals

    • Recognizing the connection between healthcare, quality of life, and economic growth

A growing community deserves a strong healthcare system.

  • Growth should be planned carefully and responsibly.

Many families, young professionals, teachers, first responders, and workers struggle to find housing that fits their needs and budget. Addressing housing challenges is critical to maintaining a strong workforce and vibrant community.

    I SUPPORT:

    • Exploring housing solutions that meet a variety of community needs

    • Removing unnecessary obstacles that delay housing development

    • Ensuring infrastructure keeps pace with growth

    • Protecting the character and quality of life that make Los Alamos County unique

Growth should benefit the entire community and prepare us for the future.
